I just bought ma brand new baby. Its a regular cornsnake but what the name for them? Also when I was at the store the lady said that she noticed a yellow coloring under its stomach towards its head and she sais theres a name for that particular type. also are they good escape artist and is there anything i could do to prevent it. i bought little clips for the lid but is there any ither ways? and can you give me any others tips that a new om needs to know? ~~~~thanks:confused:
 
If your snake is a regular corn snake, then it is called a normal or wild type (because typically that's the color that would be found in the wild). The yellow underneath its chin doesn't mean anything if it is a normal (or in most morphs, for that matter). It sounds as if it was simply a sales ploy.

They are very good escape artists. You just have to make sure the enclosure is secure.
