Greetings,
My daughter and I, as keepers, try to keep both accurate and detailed records of our snakes. Yesterday we fed and measured our little darlings and I made an interesting note on the growth of our Okeetee. We use Serp's outstanding, and free, measuring program. Thanks Serp!
Here are the dates of measure:
11/29 measure 13.1 in.
01/07 measure 14.7 in. (in 5.5 weeks % of growth is 12.2%)
02/12 measure 18.6 in. (in 5.1 weeks % of growth is 26.5%)
Notice that the growth between 1/7 and 2/12 has doubled! The main difference between the dates is that I started feeding two pinkies every meal on 1/7. Doubling the food has literally more than doubled the rate of growth (in length anyway). Our Okee is still slender and quite active compared to our Anery (aka the Fat Man). I am interrested to see the data between now and the next measurement since we have just started our Okeetee on fuzzies. I just thought I'd share.
Does anyone else keep data on their snakes? If so have you made any interesting obsrvations in the data?
Cheers,
Jason
