PETCO $1/gallon

Petco has their $1 per gallon aquarium sale going on.
$20 for a 20GL aquarium is a pretty good deal. I think Petsmart sells the same tank for $36/$38.

Hmm wonder if that's just in WI. Because 20g longs here are like 80 bucks at Petsmart.

I've been waiting for this, because I need a 29 gallon for a dart frog viv...

But just as the $1/gallon sale starts I am needing to put my dart frog viv project on hold, D'Oh.

In Eugene Pet Co had this sale a month or so back.. maybe it goes at slightly different times in different states.

Cheap tanks are nice, but the lids Pet Co sells are not secure at all and cost about as much as the tank does (considering the sale). I prefer my rack for corns, but I guess if you want a nice display tank I might take advantage of the sale.. I'd just try to get a lid elsewhere.. or build my own.

I feel your pain! The one time I participated in this sale it was for a 29 gal.. which ended up sitting around forever because shortly after I ran out of funds for my PDF project! I ended up giving it to some friends who needed quick housing for an adult corn they adopted... :bang:

(and yes, they had to build their own lid)

Unfortunately, this is a PetCo sale. Not Petsmart. :nope:

No, I think it's a nationwide sale. Eugene's sales circular shows them.

I realize that. Prices don't vary that much between Petsmart and Petco here, I have never seen 20 long for less than $60 in either store.

wow, that's crazy! I don't think I've ever seen them for over about $35 here.

Oh yay!!! We need 2 more 20gals and a 40 breeder...perfect timing, Petco!

Dirty stinking cheating Petco... they KNEW I was just thinking about giving the leopard geckos a bigger tank, they KNEW IT and that's why they did this!

We went today and got a 40 breeder for the beardie, and its Aqueon tanks on sale, not their store brand crap.
