I'm blown away not only by the sheer beauty of those arachnids, but also by your skills as a photographer! Gorgeous! *bows down*

Thanks all! The last tarantula is Brachypelma vagans. They're really easy to find. I think my vagans has a worse attitude than my OBT.

Looks like an awesome OBT!!!

I am too catious with mine to get such nice pictures! I end up getting snippets of her legs, or the back part of her abdomen in the shot.. but never a nice full body shot like that! She's getting to ornery for that, she stays in her cage!!

Still trying to figure out how I'm going to cage transfer her when I get her new tank set up... I'm not scared of her, just weary of how fast she can travel, and my inability to keep up. Any tips?!
My best thought so far is in the bathroom/ tub, so if she does escape she won't be TOO hard to corner..

Anyway, nice collection! Is that all, or just what you decided to take pictures of?

*Edit: I'm one of those crazies who thinks OBTs are fine starter Ts. Reasons: They're pretty, they do interesting stuff (read: they're not boring pet holes, they make awesome intricate silk tunnels, the owner is less likley to get bored and forget about their pet T once the novelty wears off, as they might with a rose hair.), and like many Tarantulas, they're ridiculously easy to care for. Very hardy. I don't handle mine on a regular basis, but I don't consiter Tarantulas to be "interactive" pets anyway.

Thanks for the comments!

I don't handle my tarantulas. Although they're medically harmless; they're still venomous and still fairly unpredictable. With the OBT's, and my other tarantulas, I just tilt their old cage over their new one, and coax them into the new one with a paint brush. It's fairly easy and majority of the time I don't get an aggressive response (Other than from my B. vagans).

When I photographed my OBT, I set her on the backdrop, and put a deli cup over her to keep her restrained, and let her sit for around 10 minutes to relax. After she relaxed; we lifted it and snapped away :)

I have a hard time telling between the vagans and angustum. My vagans was also very defensive. My first was a B. angustum, she is so nice and slow and my favorite pet hole.
I'm on the lookout now for a pink beauty zebra, I think that's in the right order.

A. seemani are pretty cool. We're actually on the look out for some females right now, ourselves. Hopefully we get my 100mm Macro; so by that time I have some more detailed images.

Anyway, nice collection! Is that all, or just what you decided to take pictures of?
Sorry :p I missed that question. This is just part of our collection. We have a ton more sitting back here that I need to photograph. I'm definitely in the process of it. As soon as I get a macro lens again, I'm going to be dumping out pictures of Tarantula's left and right :p

I LOVE my macro lens!! I got some pretty sweet pictures of my A. Versi's moult.

Thanks for the tip on cage switching.. it's about that time! Can't wait to see pictures of the rest of your collection in the future!

Those are very nice pictures but to be honest spiders creep me out. Even normal little house spiders get me running the other direction. I came face to face with a camel spider in Iraq and I let out a scream like someone was trying to kill me and jumped over two desks in my office. I had about 30 mechanics laughing hysterically.
