Radiated Ratsnakes, Anyone?

I wonder if anyone here has a radiated ratsnake. I think the albino versions are absolutely stunning! Doing the research on them, it seems to indicate that they're fast, active, often "cranky" snakes with heat and humidity requirements similar to that of my BRBs, but that's about all I've been able to find out about them.

If you have one, could you describe keeping them in more detail, please? Like, how easily do they transition to eating F/T? Minimum viv size (I get the feeling that it's pretty big, considering their activity levels)? Do they climb or burrow? How about water--do they like a large bowl for soaking, or just a regular bowl for drinking in their viv? Ease of care (from what I read, I tend to think of them as "intermediate")? Pet or Display animal? Grown size? Recommendation as to whether or not they do well enough in captivity to be a good animal to keep in a collection? You know, all that sort of thing. I'm vaguely considering whether or not I might like to add one to my snake collection at some time in the future, 'cause they sure are purdy!

I had one and it passed away. They are very active and need large cages. They tend to be nippy and aggressive. Lots of humidity. If you want asian rats I would start with a beauty snake, as they are much more laid back. Radiata can be VERY high strung.

I have a friend with one. From what I've been told they're more of an advanced keeper's snake... My friend took his out and it was constantly on the move and nippy. I have no personal experience with owning them (I do not consider myself advanced or even intermediate), so my knowledge is second hand. :shrugs:
