Long awaited pairing

Susan

Go Ahead, Make My Day!
Sorry, I didn't take a pic of the actual matings, but here are seperate pics of the pair. Their offspring is as close of a chance I can currently get of owning a butter stripe.

This is the female, a normal het butter and stripe. This is her first year breeding.

And this is the male, a caramel motley possibly (hopefully) het butter. Yes, I know my odds are outrageous, but I can still hope!

And I also know I'll get motley/stripe offspring, but I like them the best anyway. If I get really lucky and get a butter patterned like this, I won't be coming off my cloud for a long time!

That pastel motley is PINK! Is the color accurate in the picture?

Good luck on your project. Nice looking caramel mot by the way.

The color is fairly accurate, but it is just a tad too blue/purple, but some of my pics end up that way. And he is actually an aneryth, not a pastel/ghost (although he is het ghost). He started out like a typical aneryth but got lighter and pinker. I have a couple of others like him, but if he's like the oldest one, the pink coloration will fade in the next year and he'll get a bit darker overall. This is a pic of one of his clutchmates that retained the typical aneryth coloration.
