Ditto..great pics and great snakes! I really like the HHM from SMR nice colors on it.

Also, how do you get the lighting so perfect on your snakes? I've tried separate lighting for my snake pics, and the colors don't show up correctly..and the flash tends to bleach the snakes out or it shines too much. Any tricks you want to share? ;)
 
This camera tends to like to shoot dark. I have the flash and exposure values cranked up, I've got about 3 or 4 lights focused on the picture from varying heights and angles, and I have a fairly narrow range of distance to subject that I have to work under, otherwise it's too light/too dark with the flash from the camera. Luckily I've tweaked the system to get me the colors I want in the frame I want. I have to mess a bit more to adjust for doing adults/longer distances from subject.

Sometimes I have to adjust the lighting digitally, but the pics are getting less and less needy in that respect, so I must be improving. :p
