Quick question about water bowls...

Quigs

"Got R Did"
Has anyone used stainless steel water bowls? I have a ton of "coop cups" laying around from when I raised birds.

I just got 10 03's yesterday. I was gonna throw those stainless bowls in with them but then thought about the reflective aspect. Would this spook them or cause undue stress?

Anyone tried this or use them now? I don't know if it would have any bearing at all. I did end up putting regular plastic and ceramic bowls in with the babies. But like I said, I have a ton of these stainless ones here! And I'd like to use them as my collection gets even bigger.

I'm interested in everyone's input.

Thanks,
Quigs

I doubt the reflection would cause any problems

My only concern would be any scratches that would allow oxidation (rust) to comtaminate the water. Good luck!

I use stainless dog watering/feeding bowls. The kind that can't be tipped over. They double as a hide. The snakes just go under and circle around between the outer rim and the actual bowl area. I haven't had any problems them rusting and I have been using them for quite a while.

stainless water bowls

I WAS IN THE SAME POSITION AS YOU LOADS OF STAINLESS BOWELS LEFT OVER FROM KEEPING BIRDS. I USE MY BOWELS ON ALL MY SNAKES BUT ESPECIALLY MY ROYALS AND I,VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.

Used to work in a pet shop, they used them for their snakes, they are fine to use.
