Seriously? "War on religion"? It's NOT a war on religion. It's a war on equality. It's a war on not being able to be treated like an actual human being. It's a war on not having to hide who you are.
Since I can't post the words I called him on Facebook here, I'll shorten it to...
I hope he steps on a Lego.

I did too. I think his 9 9 9 plan might even have hurt us a little, but at least it was a PLAN with some merit. I would have voted for him.

I am not thrilled about either Mitt or Newt. They both seem like warmed over leftovers. I did hear somewhere though that Newt at one point had a boa.
 
Voteing is every year and I try to vote every year and I have got to the point to whear I hate to vote now because it is like what's the point?. It is so hard to vote when you really don't know who you are voteing for.
 
I am in Texas, he is a idiot he has helped ruin our education etc... here. I met him once he is so slimy!!!!! ugh!
 
Another homophobic religious nut pandering for votes. Unfortunate that equal rights are viewed as a bad thing to some. Not to mention the whole Christian persecution complex many have is idiotic at best. Kids can still pray at school, what a bunch of crock.

Yeah kids have freedom to do what they want in school religion wise. They can try to convert the heck out of other kids if they wanted nothing the government could or should do about it. The only ones separation of church and state pertains to in schools are the teachers not the kids.
 
Ryan, are you even old enough to vote? Ron Paul is interesting. I feel like I should learn more about him. But I think he's too "out there" to be electable.
 
What I don't understand--and I know I'm incredibly idealistic--is why can't we have more choices? Out of the entire country, we get (ultimately) TWO candidates to choose from? That's it? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

Also, why do we have to have a two party system? I think it would be better if there were six parties (just throwing out a number) and they had to form coalitions to get things done. As it stands, the government is mired in the molasses of politics. Two parties each blaming each other. Nothing gets done. It gets so old.

I liked Perry for about 2 seconds, simply based on the fact that I had never heard of him before and am really sick of regurgitated candidates.......
then he opened his mouth and ended that in a hurry.....

We have a multi-party system in Canada and it's not always that great. Minority governments (Governments that have more seats than any other party, but still have fewer that 50% + 1 seats in the House of Commons) can be pretty much lame duck governments.

And coalitions are great, but the political climate in North America is way too adversarial to support them. Imagine the Democrats and Republicans forming a coalition? Hah. And when the Liberals and NDP here in Canada tried to form a coalition, the Conservative party went on a massive propaganda and misinformation campaign accusing the Liberals and NDP of treason.

And like the idiots that most people are, it was swallowed, hook, line and sinker. I am still bitter over that. Our own government, lying to the people about how the government works (Coalitions are a standard of the parliamentary system you douchebags!).

Basically, all I'm saying is that a multi-party system isn't going to solve the problems that are facing the US because, like in Canada, politics has devolved into winning at any cost, regardless of the harm done to the country in the process.
