Snake In the Paper!

Hi all! :)

I haven't been to the forum for a while now, because of school and such. But, the distracting labors have paid off! I did my senior project on the color variations of cornsnakes. I presented it about two weeks ago, and my presentation was covered by the press! I was in the Raleigh, NC paper, holding my two *babies* Xena (normal, 3 yrs) and Acadia (Anerythristic A, 2 yrs); on the front page of the B section and in color!!! The judges who I presented to thought that the wide range of the corn snake was unbeleivable. They were fascinated, and were very intrigued by the snakes themselves, also. One judge even said that he is now going to buy his son a corn snake!

Rich, your website helped A LOT, and I want to thank you for having such comprehensive histories about the different cultivars. I could not have found much information with out it.

The article is about senior projects, but I think its cool that corn snakes get the publicity locally! :)

That's great that you even made it into the paper - congratulations!

Although I did laugh when they wrote that your corn was as thick as your wrist - unlikely, methinks.

That would have been a fun project. I think the whole concept of a senior project is so much better than standardized testing. Anyways, nice job!
