Almost time and mine are:
-get back to my college running shape

-run the Los Angeles Marathon

-produce another new morph

:)

Love the subject!

-improve my PR for the Las Vegas Half marathon
-live in the moment as much as possible
-try not to acquire more critters (probably a lost cause already LOL)

Ugh...I hate calling it a NYR because it's almost dooming myself to failure. LOL BUT...I will say that on 1/1/12 I will be going back to the only diet that ever worked for me and want to lose 75 pounds minimum. I also want to make more time for my family and that includes my furry and scaly family members.

I guess mine are:

Leave PC and learn to love Mac. Especially learn to use Lightroom to edit photos at a better than amateur level.

Implement PCM temperature control for shipping snakes.

Possibly purchase a DSLR and macro lens and learn how to take real photographs!

Get my bike spruced up.

1: Start exercising, and eating healthier. Living on pizza pockets and cereal just isn't working.

2: Get my last 2 snakes, and then STOP. No more reptiles. (Except maybe ONE female Russian tort.) Most especially, no more rescues!
... I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail that one, though. Heck, if yesterday counted, I'd have already failed on both counts... (Not my fault, I swear!!)

Yes! The Strip at Night for the Las Vegas Half Marathon
It was a blast this year but double the craziness with 40,000 people.

1. Quit smoking.
2. Lose about 10 pounds.
3. Convince the guy down the street to get his dogs fixed because he's mean to them and keeps breeding them for money.
4. Pass my "Rattlesnake test" so I can work at my favorite reptile store ever for the best herpetologist/wildlife rehabilitator ever with the prettiest snakes ever.

The fourth one is a huge long shot lol, but that is seriously my dream.

Don't get banned from CS.com :/...lol. Oh ya, and learn to laugh at myself *check* :D. Seriously though, I don't usually equate the New Year with personal resolution but if I had to nail it down to one thing it would be "Work towards happiness". Vague, I know, but it's a mental thing to not get bogged down by petty stuff so my goal is just to stay on the peaceful-tip. I'm sure I will to some degree and hopefully to a large one!.

I need to hardcore get back into shape. I ate so many sweets and sugars this holiday season that I don't want to look at another piece of candy again! I'm so sick of sweets! I'm going to start eating right and exercising again. I'm probably going to check out the gym at my university since I can use it for free. I'd like to run a 5k sometime this year.

Don't get banned from CS.com :/...lol.

 Good to see you Ricky!

You as well :).

1. Not get any more snakes!

Considering that I went from 4 to ten in the last few months, this is unlikely. But hey, it's worth a shot!

2. Get an internship that will gain me experience and knowledge in the field that I want to work in.
3. Get a job that actually pays me, since I work for free.

4. Once I get a job that actually pays me, DON'T get more snakes!!

1. Lose the extra weight I gained over the holidays.
2. Stop being such a perfectionist ninny and try something I might stink at--like fencing--and enjoy it anyway.

I started trying to loose weight in early October. So I have some advice that worked for me. For all those trying to loose weight this year, here's it is. Pick up a new, heart pumping hobby. And make sure its FUN!!!!!!! Or else its just not gonna work.

Me, I'm soooooooooo NOT a gym or jogging girl. I took up dancing. And not just any dancing, BELLY dancing! I'm having a blast! I get to wear pretty outfits with sparklies and the hubby wants to watch me practice! I've lost 20 lbs so far and can fit into an old pair of favorite jeans again! Whooo Hooo!:dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:

My New Year's Resolution????? I want a flat-ER belly. I don't even care if I have a muffin top. There's a lot of interesting moves you can do with a muffin top. I can work with that!

Great resolutions everyone!

I also met my weight loss resolution last year (lost 20 pounds) and my tip is : Simply be consistent. I trained 2 or 3 times a week for about 35 minutes each. I ate smaller portions often and did not deprive myself of things I wanted. For example I would take care of a chip craving by putting some chips in a small bowl and stick to that portion only.

As for my new resolutions:
1. Spend more time with my pets. The parrot needs more out time and the dog more training and playing. I will be getting her in her first agility trials over the summer! Obviously, keep handling GG our new hatchling on a daily basis.

2. Find a new job where I feel happier about what I do and where I get a sense of bringing something good to others.

3. Pay back half of my remaining University debt.

:)

Mine is to try to be inactive for only 23.5 hours a day. I might go over a little, but that's the goal I'm going to shoot for.
