I've been keeping an eye on a local snake rescue craigslist ad for the last while and they have had a "juvenile" bloodred available for adoption for a long time...now I've wanted a bloodred since I saw them on a website YEARS ago and the idea is tempting...I haven't gotten a hold of them yet but have been planning on it for the last couple days. I am still planning on going to the reptile show here this coming weekend but thought I would see what opinions (if any) you guys may have to offer?

I would probably go to the show first and if I didn't see anything I liked better, then I would go with him. If they've had him this long, he probably won't get taken by someone else in just a few days. Although if you feel strongly about rescuing versus buying from a breeder, then you should get him. :)

(And whatever you decide, you should definitely post some pictures for us!)

I have had rescues turn out good...
And really bad.

You could go have a look at him- check for mites, injuries, mucus, etc.
Turn him down if you see any of the above, unless you want some heartache.
