especially those that are from the outside
just incase if any parasites or bacteria that is living on the rocks or branches or whatever.

All you got to do with the rocks is to 1) Bake it in the oven at 350 or so for half an hour 2) dump it in with bleah water....that's all...

its a simple step so why take the risk of causing harm to your animals?
