what is recommended for use in the bottom of my corns tank? this is my first corn, and right now i have cage carpet. i also have a ball python, and i was told to use cage carpet for my python. but in all the pics i see posted ive seen nothing but stuff that looks like light colored mulch.( sorry i dont know the right name lol) thanks all -kebin
also- anyone know of any shows in md/va/dc? :)

That stuff at the bottom of the pics would be called ASPEN ;)
I would think that its the most widely used substrate around! everyone uses it... it obsorbes the poo that the snakes leave... it has little dust... its easy to clean up... and it wont hurt your snake if they eat it... cage carpet isnt bad either... the only thing that I hear bad about it is that it gets dirty and underneth it, it gets wet and that bacteria starts to form on and under it... but thats what ive heard never used it before... I just will stick with the aspen its cheap and reliable...
