Reptariums

Have any of you used or recomend these reptariums? Ill bet the answer will be no but i cant help myself, they're so big and cheap! The guy at the store said the only problem with them is they can let in big draughts of cold air. Reptariums, the kind made out of nylon netting? I've looked at them and did not trust the zipper to hold a snake. I've had too many escapes. About the only way I could think of to hold the warm air was to put the reptarium inside a plastic or plywood box. Which makes the reptarium superfluous. So I don't think they would be satisfactory for snakes.

I used one for a couple years. It served its purpose. In hindsight I would recommend it only for arboreal reptiles, not Cornsnakes. I had a few escapes, always from areas were the zipper would kink and leave an open spot that I didnt detect. The mesh doesnt hold heat or humidity worth anything and your reptiles are less visible. (Like watching a hockey game through the protective netting) The main reason I ditched it for some nicer reptile cages was the fact that the snakes always would go underneath the plastic on the bottom and crap. I was attracted by the fact that it had alot of space for cheap. You get what you pay for though.
