Laying eggs without breeding???

I have a four year old female corn snake. She shed around two weeks ago. We had tried to feed her numerous times since then and she never ate, she just backed away from the mouse. But then yesterday, she laid a yellow (infertile) egg. But today when i woke up, she had laid at least ten more under her water dish. the problem is that i never bred her with a male before, so she never got fertilized. Is this a normal thing for corn snakes to do?

They do sometimes lay without being bred, but its not too common. BTW, you posted this in the wrong forum. It should be in the breeding forum. :D
