04 Type A Anery Bloodred "BALDY"

These guys are hatching out as we speak. A few were nicely bald but this one guy has a great "BALDY" head. I think he will be a pretty decent adult. Thanks

Hey Mike,

Really Cool !!!

Are those offspring from the ones you got from me a couple years ago? Just curious.

They sure look great !!!

Walter :)

you're a grand dad!!!!

yes they bred for the first time this year and she laid 15 perfect eggs all of which look like they will hatch and she is gravid with a second clutch. You would know this better than me. When you are looking for holdbacks, what do you look for? The white head and patternless sides? I know at this age, color isnt really an issue yet. At lest not until after they have shed a few times correct? Thanks for any advice. Mike

Mike,

Cool. I'm glad they are doing so well for ya.

As far as what to look for in holdbacks, I guess that would be up to the individual. Pretty much what you stated is what I looked for when I was considering future breeders:

Most patternless heads
Most patternless latterals
Nice perfect blotching ( if pressent )
And lighter coloration.

Of course the lighter coloration would play part IF that's what you like. I'm sure there are people who perfer darker colored animals.

I would also consider what I was going to be doing with the holdbacks meaning, if I was going to use them in a project.

Here is a pic. of a clutch I produced last year and I'm sure you can tell which one was going to be a holdback.

Walter :)

I think that they're very attractive!!

Hhhhmmmm, right now I am really confused about my strange Pewter. I hachted two of these strange Pewters that have color that should not be in Pewters. So I figured they might be Anery A bloodreds. But looking at your pics....??
