would you recommend to keep a hatchling in a 10 gallon tank?

or if not then what size plastic tub and would a small underground heater be ok to heat the pplastic tub
would you put the heater inside or outside the tub?

So far that's all I've used (though, this Fall, when I hope to hatch out 13 babies I will use shoebox sized Sterilte containers). All of my current snakes, when hatchlings, were started out in 10 gallon tanks and then were upgraded to larger cages when they got too big.

One thing that you may see it that your snake might not find it's food very well and you may need to use a small feeding chamber for the first few months.

Always put the heater outside the cage, so as to prevent electrical shocks (if a waterbowl tips, etc.)
