I know what parental lines it came from... I'm just not entirely sure what morph it is. The purplish irises have me wondering (when it first hatched, I'd dismissed it as an ordinary amel, which wouldn't have been too unexpected, given the parents...)...

Thoughts?

at first look i'd say amel, but the red is pretty dark... i'm not realy sure what that little snake is but i'd keep it :D
 
Kat, can't help you for sure, but your's looks a lot like the amels I got out of my newfound het Hypo parents clutch of hatchlings. They just look 'off' from being normal amels. According to Mick's PP, hypo is maksed by amel, but I have been seriously questioning whether there is some kind of indicator towards what a Hypo Amel should/would look like. Is there hypo in the lineage of this one?

I thought I responded to this erlier. I quess it didn't work. I also siad hypo amel . I have a couple here that look simular.
 
His dad's an ultrahypo (hypoD) motley, and his mom is a lavender.

Two straight amels showed up in the clutch as well, but this guy looks different than those two... so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Well, I will assume that Deathy is the father, so it can not be a Type A hypo. It does have Lavender looking eyes and seems to have a lot of pink, which amels don't usually have.

Deathy could be carring other genes than you know of but it is unlikely that the Lavender female is het for Ultra.

How about a screaming Opal? Some of my Opals are so pink they look like amels.

It would be sweet if it was an Ultra Lavender!

Were there any other morphs produced in the clutch to give us some hints?
 
At first glance I thought that it was a hypo lav with some awesome colorations~

but since the dad is an Ultra I think that the possiblity of the lav is het ultra.....maybe the ultra is het another hypo and the lav is het for some hypo too~?

So I would guess that its a hypo lav? But its just a wild guess~~
 
The only other morph (besides normal) I've seen in the clutch are definite amels. That having been said, some of the normals look more caramelly than others (and Deathy is het caramel)... The snake in the pic is the only one with weird irises, though...
 
...check that... I have another weird-eyed one pipping... There is a DEFINITE difference in eyecolor between these guys and the regular amels in the clutch...
