Hello, hopefully I am on the right board for this question, I have four beautiful cornsnakes, two have they're own 40 and 60 gal tanks. My two little cornsnakes, 9 months old are in seperate 10 gal tanks. which is getting to small for them.
My husband happened to get a rather large tank, it is 6 feet long by 2 feet wide, and about 2 1/2 feet deep. It would be perfect for my two little one to share, If I could find a divider for it. So here's my question, does anyone make such a thing, and where do I find one?

hardware store in the plexiglass section ...measure and cut to fit. THen get some aquariem sealent. it will be 24 hours before you can use it after. Make sure there are no ruff edgees on the plexi so your babies dont snag themself, but youcan buff it with a metal emeroy board..and then walla you have a diveder

I bought one but the biggest they list on it is for a 20 L so that wouldn't work. I think that Silver Tongues' suggestion is good. Just be really sure that the divider hieght is perfect to low they'll visit:) each other and too high your lid won't fit right. ( DA like you didn't figure that out!) Oh well! I have no great ideas!

cardboard?

hmmm maybe you could get some card board and cut it to size? Or maybe something of that sort? ;) good luck! hope it works out,just right for you!
 
I would use something that is not see through. Seeing each other may not please one or both of the occupants. Your local timber suppliers will cut you a piece of hardboard to suit and supply the adhesives to fit it correctly
 
If you use wood, you have to make sure to seal it totally or the urates and feces will ruin it. Also, make sure it is not pine or cedar. I would go with the plexiglass, and if you don't want them to see each other (but I don't think it is a problem, then you can paint it with some kind of pet-safe paint. Just make sure to air it out thoroughly after painting it. Or you can also buy frosted or white plexiglass.

of course you just forgot to include that part about the plastic coating. I am sorry if you took it as a criticism.Many times, my fingers get way ahead of my brain and I forget to include parts of what I wanted to say. People tend to read what I have written, instead of what I meant to write. I have put some REALLY stupid things out there on the internet before. Actually, there were not so much stupid, just incomplete.

A 225 gallon aquarium for (6 x 2 x 2.5) is a bit large for the little guys, but to each his/her own. I suppose looking at floor space 2 x 3 isn't all that big. I just remember toting my 225 around from apartment to apartment...yuck. I'm digressing... You might want to divide it into 3 or 4 sections or just make it two and put the larger snakes in it.
