Our baby is getting ready to shed for the first time with us since we got him two weeks ago. He's been hiding, and his eyes have glazed over and turned a blue-ish color. He is scheduled to feed tonight...should we offer the pinkie, or wait till he sheds?
Also, we bought a basking light for one side of the tank and keep it on during the day, turning it off when we go to bed. When it's on, he sits under the light under his hollow log all day long. Never moves out from under it. That side stays about 80-82 degrees. Once we shut it off, he will come out and move around the tank. Is it too much? Too hot? We do not have any other source of heat in the tank (our house stays between 72-75 degrees year round). Should we leave it on all night?
Sorry if these are stupid questions. We did buy The Corn Snake Manual that has answered alot of our questions.
Thanks,
Nicole and Diablo
