Tank size?

Very simple question this time: (lol!)

For two corn snakes (I plan on eventually getting two females) in one vivarium (living together), how big should it be? Still 20gal even though there are two of them? 30gal? 40? Bigger? (If you could supply dimensions that'd be lovely!)

Thank you! =D

sticky subject...

I'd say the next step up from a 20g long. I tried 2 in a 20g long and while they did fine, that's no way to humanely keep two snakes and I did end up splitting them. While they're youngin's 20g long is perfect but when they get to adult size you'll quickly realize there isn't much room for proper hides, water bowls and an extra snake like that.

Good luck!

Hmmm...most members here would advise you against two snakes in one viv. So I'd have to agree with homer's post. I have one in a 20 gallon, but soon s/he'll be moving to a 50 gallon as s/he id approximately 3 and 1/2 feet long and VERY active. I'd like to give him/her some room to stretch out and I'm expecting that s/he will be getting bigger due to the fact that I think s/he is of exceptional size for age (although I've gotten conflicting information regarding his/her age compared to size). Either way, I'd personally do a 20 gallon for each.
