Another one of those oddballs that I'll have to try to figure out some day...

Rich,

Seeing how you have the camera out, any chance of you gettting a shot or two of the Hypo Pewters so we could all see??

Wow
I love that tint blue on it~!!

Very pretty snake!!

I would love to get my hands on that one!!

I guess you all don't understand the photo taking methodology this time of year. I have to be checking on the babies anyway, and my camera is right there next to the work counter. So when I open up a container with babies and they look interesting, my camera is right there to snap some photos.

I would have to FIND those other snakes to take photos, so it is an entirely different situation. Not to mention that they won't sit there nice and pretty like the babies do when I uncover them.

Matter of fact, I took these photos over the last couple of weeks and am only now getting around to uploading them to the computer and then taking a look at them......

That is one beautiful looking little one, Rich. Great shot of it also. I second Terri's "thanks for sharing'".

lol well if you don't have time for the oddball you can ship it to me and ill grow it on and see what it produces lol!

ghost

looks like a ghost 2 me I had a ghost come out this year that looked exactly like a snow corn but the only difference it had the color eyes of the snake you have there, it took awhile for me to notice it I had it in with my snows, but know it has changed a bit and just looks like a light ghost with a whiteish grey background color

old thread I know...

I know this is an old thread, but I'm curious as to what's happened to this guy pictured? Was he a real light hypo lavender? I'm really curious!

Heck, I don't even know. That snake is in the "limbo" section, which are between being hatchlings and breeder sized, so I haven't seen it for a year or so. I have workers taking care of those snakes while I take care of the things I need to do. I guess it is still alive..........

If I were smart, I would think of marking the photos with the ID numbers.....

i can't decide whether i like that or not ummm actually i think i do like it what is it? first day today on forum seeing you on all the threads can someone pls give me the low down on who you all are or are you just all over the place you all sound as if you really know each other which is great, is anybody else here from the u.k!!!!!!!!

hiya could you tell me what the difference is physically between a ghost and a snow!!!
A ghost is expressing anery and hypo, a snow is expressing anery and amel.

It might be a better idea to put a new thread in the genetics/morphs forum instead of posting on older threads with a different topic. :)

so am i right in thinking you need an amel and an anery to produce a snow sorry bout replying on old threads but first time user

correct. but its not as simple as breeding them together and getting snows unless the anery is het. for amel and the amel het for anery. if neither of them are het for the others expressed trait, the babies will be normal het for anery, & amel. grow the babies up and breed them toe get a 1/16 chance to get snows. fortunately these particular morphs have been around so long it is not unusual one or the other, if not both, to be het for the others expressed trait. making 50% of the clutch whatever gene was hidden and het for the other trait.

hope that helps
