Hibernation

I was wondering if I should hibernate my 2 year old corn snake over the winter. I am not planning on breeding her for a couple years, haven't decided what to breed her with. Also, what does 0.1 snake means? If you only have a tenth of a snake, you got a problem. Just kidding, but could someone explain that to me? Thanks

If you don't plan on breeding, brumation isn't neccessary. If you want to save money by not having to feed her, you can go ahead and brumate her. Most people who keep their corns as pets don't mess with that whole process.

0.1 means you have 0 males, and 1 female. Likewise, 1.0 means 1 male and 0 females. When you see three numbers (0.0.1), the third number is the number of unsexed snakes.

Thanks

Ah, it is all getting clear for me. In that case, I have 0.1 okeetee (I think, she might be het for reverse. She has some white around her saddles). And yes, brumation sounds like it could be a pain. I think I will forgo the process. Thanks!

The name is deceptive

A reverse okeetee doesn't have anything to do with the Normal Okeetee phase. A reverse okeetee is an Amelanistic corn that has wide, white borders.
