Sunny the Snake (with pic this time!)

He's a beauty. I'm gonna guess at the morph (If I'm wrong, forgive me I'm a beginner!).....sunglow? How old is he?

He's eight months old. I guess you could call him a sunglow, I'm not too up on morph names for genetically identical animals. Genetically he's an amel corn that is het for anyerythrism B (blizzard anotherwords)

and he was free!!

If you look closely at his body above his vent you will notice he is all bumpy and twice as big around there. He has a messed up spine so he can't poop. We are experimenting with chiropractic for snakes to see if we can fix the sublexations and so far have been very successful. He dropped a bomb yesterday, whew!

So, if anybody has any snakes with messed up spines that would otherwise get put to sleep, send 'em to me! I would like to develop an actual method to this.

Thanks!

Wow it's great of you to do something like that! I hope you will keep us updated here about all your work/progress.
I think a sunglow is an amelanistic with no white. I think. but i'm not sure. And he is still gorgeous.
Do you think that spine thing was a genetic thing or just a random deformity?

Thanks!

He is my first corn, and I absolutely love him. He is the result of somebody's incubation experiment. Apparently there is a belief out there that if you incubate a herp at different temps it affects their pigmentation. I have heard that it works (Sunny is certainly beautiful) but wrong temps can cause back deformities in developing embryos. :(

I am keeping a photo log of his progress. The ultimate goal is to get him looking and functioning totally normal. I'll keep posting about him. Thanks!
