Just a couple of questions

I have a couple of questions. Why won'y my yearling corn shed in one piece? I have 2 large water bowls. 1 on each side. He can soke if he wants to but he choses not to. Maybe could it be because the water is not changed enough?

The next is if he is eating f/k or f/t fuzzies will he ever eat live ones. I am able to get live of any mice more readily and hassil free than f/t or killing them for him. I have 14 snakes eating fuzzies and he is the only that won't eat live. I have a trio of mice that I just take all their babies as feeders.

I won't comment on the f/t vs live issue, but concerning the
shedding, it might help with some more information. What are the temps?
More info about the setup in general would also probably be of use.

What does it look like when he sheds? Has he always had problems?
How long have you had him?

In short: More info. :)

I have had my corn for two months now. She shed yesterday. Perfect shed. And I got to watch! :D
...but, I've never seen her bathe. So when she goes blue, I spray her once or twice. Seems to be working ok so far.

Sometimes snakes shed in pieces because they are ill. Check for any signs of illness or if it's really concerning you take him to the vet.

You might try just increasing the humidity by misting the viv when they get into blue phase until they shed. You can also build a moist hide that they can go into. Either one has worked well for mine. As to feeding f/t or live, that's a very hot topic and one that has many a thread on this forum. I personally think it's safer to feed f/t as it kills parasites, and you don't risk injury to your snake especially when feeding adult mice or rats. If you use the search on here you will find a ton of answers to that question.

I have him in a 20 long on shredded papertowels. The temps on the warm side are around 84 and on the cool side around 73. I have and uth and a light on top. He has a water dish on both sides. I never see him drinking or soaking in the water. I have had him for not very long. He has shed 3 times since I have had him. all of the sheds have came off in 2-3 pieces. Now some advice on the feeding.

Whenever I see the eyes go blue in my snakes, I mist them directly (while they are in the viv) every day with a spray bottle. Then I cover the screen top 3/4 of the way with newspaper to trap as much humidity as I can. I do this every day until they shed, and I haven't had a problem with an incomplete shed, nor have I had any problem with any skin blisters or any other problems associated with excess humidity.
