I've tried repti-bark, habi-chips, aspen, coconut and that new carefresh bedding. I've gone back to aspen. I really dislike the carefresh. It doesn't lay flat and tends to clump and I found that it got in the water dishes all the time. The repti-bark and coconut were fine, but hard to see poop in, especially the tiny ones the hatchlings make. The habi-chips were fine, but they are very small pieces and I was afraid they would ingest while burrowing or something. So, overall, I've liked the aspen best. The snakes seem to really like it for burrowing, and it looks nice too.

Ditto on the aspen
it's relatively inexpensive, easy to buy & store, smells nice and pretty easy to clean- I have found only paper towels are easier!
:)

If i were you i would stick to beach chips or get some asphen shavings, which is mainley what i use, as it's clean and goes far, it's also good for when a snake poop's as it shows up like snow in the dark.
