• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Edit button . . .

How strange. It seems to be that when you log out your posts become 'fixed' and you can't edit them. A fresh post has the edit button right where it should be.

It's not usually like that is it?

EDIT: Yep, can edit a new post ok

A little while back there was a person threatening to go back and delete all of the posts made here on this site. I have had people do that before on my FaunaClassifieds site, so I had to nip that in the bud by disabling the edit function across the board. I think this person got the boot, so if I remember to do so later tonight, I'll go ahead and re-enable it for you all.

Sorry about that. But I hope you all understand my reasons.

Understand completely

I like being able to correct a post (grammar, spelling, ect) but firmly believe that it should stay once posted.

If you don't want it read, don't write it.....

Thanks Rich, and I understand completely. I actually thought it was a 2 or 3 edit limit and then you couldn't anymore as I had made some new posts since this original post that I was able to edit.

CAV, being a teacher, I hate seeing a post I've made that I had a grammatical error in as well, and love being able to fix it. It's always the little things!

Thanks for explaining this. Makes much more sense, and I can totally understand where you are coming from.

I did some research on this. What I had done was to set it so that anyone here can edit both the title line of their message and the text body for up to ONE HOUR after they submit the post. After that, the edit function goes away.

So if you want to proof read what you have written, you have one (1) hour in order to do so.

Is that OK?

If you can't spell it right for 60 minutes, I doubt it will be become magically apparent after that. :)

Thanks again Rich, that should be plenty of time. I'm also learning how to use the preview button before I submit my posts!
