Pics of My Rack and Inmates

I just thought I'd share pictures of my mouse rack, that's got a newly added screen door and the inmates contained therein.

The screen door was added because our dog has taken quite a fondness to the mouse blocks, and would eat them all out of the trays and also knock the tubs with the mice down as she tried to squeeze her head as far back as possible to get the last remaining block. Dumb dogs.

The screen is a window screen we had made to fit the dimensions of the rack, its attached with a 4ft long piano hinge on the left and 2 hook and eye closures on the right. Not foolproof, but enough to keep the dog discouraged.

First up, pics of my rack:

Female named Cloud, for the white "cloud" on her forehead:

Female named Fannie, for the dark patch of hair on her fanny:

Female named Patches, for obvious reasons:

Female named Rainbow, because she's got 3 different colors along with the long hair:

New breeder male named Rufus: He's a sweet heart.

And last of the adults, a female named Snow:

A couple of baby pics:

A few of Rufus' first batch of babies, I can clearly see the red with black eye genes he carries is dominant over the other genes in the mix.

Very nicely done. I like the swinging screen, too. LOL, and yes, dogs love lab blocks. Why? Because we don't want them to. ;)

Lovely kids as well. :D
