I just stained the inside of my new cage. My question is can I paint over it with white paint as long as I poly over the white paint several times? If so what kind of paint? PLEASE HELP!!!!! I need to know my tomarrow morning.

Isn't it alright to just leave the stain...? It's not causing any harm, just put a plastic plant or something infront of it.

I would make sure the stain is completely dried before housing with it though. The fumes can be toxic. I know some people have varnished and such, and I'm sure if you used the search on here, you could find what people used for paint on their viv setups.

the best thing would probably be a sealer/stainer since it creates kind of a barrier. There is a thread about building your own racks where Serp goes into detail about stains, etc. You might want to check that out.

I used the search function and Pcar suggests indoor latex paint. Washable and safe after it's dry. You might find other suggestions if you used the search function and just put in the word paint.
