if this helps I use a redlight for my blood to keep the heat up and so I can see him at night. I used to use a redlight 24/7 on my corn but it never really needed the extra light and heat. Just my oppinion
My red lightbulb is 150 watt for a 35 gal. tank. It works great. Especially because I cant afford to turn the light off at night. But then again that is for my BP not my cornsnake. My red lightbulb pumps out some serious heat.
i have a heat emiter rather than a red bulb, and then a white light during the day (its on a timer).
I am concidering getting a blue or black bulb for night viewing.
