Okay my snake was bleeding after his shed

I saw a scale up off when I was helping by letting him slither through moist paper towels, and I saw blood on the paper towels after I put him his cage. Is this normal?

What exactly happened? Some scales came off? Do you see any external injuries or discoloration? It's never a good sign for them to be bleeding.

Are you saying scales ripped off during a shed? This happened to one of my snakes (though not a corn), but it was directly related to bad humidity (bad shed). The snake rubbed his head to remove the shed, and off came some scales. I witnessed the same thing happening to one of his siblings a week later.

I really don't know how to advise you on your corn, so I'm going to leave that to the experts (though don't try it until someone backs me up, but I hear REGULAR polysporin works). As for this happening though... it shouldn't have. What's the viv like? Did you use a humid hide? Is the humidity low? Best to fix the problem so it doesn't happen again. :)

If you are really worried about the injury itself you can dab a tiny bit of triple antibiotic ointment on it (neosporin or something generic will work). It's safe on snakes. The rescue I worked with used it to treat scale rot on some ball pythons. It works really well on them.
