Lake Okeechobee

I recently went collecting in the sugar cane fields right outside of the lake. I just thought I would share some pics.

Here is one of many canals that are good to walk along in the early spring to catch FL. Kings, Yellow Rats and other Herps.

Also there are many carpet traps that I have strategically placed lol that is a sure way to catch a lot of Kings.

Thanks, Stephen R

Stephen, I know you're not new to this forum! Did you just rejoin under a new name? Anyway, great herping area you live in. The only stuff I find around me are Southern Pacific rattlesnakes and somegopher snakes and racers. Occasionally, I'll run into a garter by the stream, but not too often.

Meg, yeah I had to go under a new name because my computer was messing up and I couldn't log on for some reason. It is also possible to catch Anery Corns around a certain area of the lake.

Thanks, Stephen R.
