Corns snakes that end up with no home/abandon

this matter was told to me the other day . So many corn snakes and other spicies of snakes that are ending up with no homes and are being abandoned , and ending up tossed out in the wild or in foster homes / wildlife reservations that can care for those sort of snakes and that have the resorses too do so . seames that the problem lyes in the people that are suposed to care for the snakes but for some odd reason like for ex they have too get ride of the snake or snakes due to miss fortune , because the snake is too big or has medical problems etc , or that they just cant care for it any more because they have no use for it in the breeding project's .there are a thousand more resons people dont want the snakes . SO IF YOU DONT OR CANT CARE FOR THE DAME THING YOU SHOULDNT OWN THEM AT ALL , IT'S NOT A GAME . There has been tons of calls for people that have been getting stuck and cant get ride of what they have snake wise for what ever reason it may be . this is all true so be responsable people and do the write thing care for your snakes if ya cant do it dont do it ... and im sorry its not every one out there that is doing it ......

So what, are you just looking for free snakesor something b/c . It sounds like you are to. If so good luck with that one.

No offense, but that was the most difficult post I've ever head to read/decipher.

How old are you? I ask this because of the numerous spelling errors and well, it makes you come across as if you're 14.

I do have to agree, it sounds like you're looking for free snakes. If not, then that's great. Either way, good luck but I dont think it's quite feasible to find a number of corns that are in need of 'good' homes. Also, I've never heard of a 'corn reservation'.

I think you're 'blowing things out of proportion' a bit here . . .

A. I think there's a distinct difference between a "I don't want/can't have my cornsnake anymore" advertisement and a "Corn For Sale due to space constraints or breeding program change."

B. I glance through the classifieds in the local newspaper almost daily, and of the 100's, 1000's, larger? ads for unwanted dogs, cats, and birds, I have not seen a SINGLE add for an unwanted cornsnake. Of course I'm from ND, and herps are more of a rarity around here, but I would guess the situation is similar just about anywhere else.

If you're looking for snakes though, there's a for sale forum you can check out here!

I didn't get the idea that he was looking for a snake, so much as saying that there are a lot out there that are not being cared for properly or are abandoned. I have a listing for a reptile rescue and there's very few corns on there. Mostly pythons, and iguanas.

near where i live, there is a rspca instutute, which is also part of the bhs(british herp society), and apparently they get corn snakes in all the time, mostly from childeren who got bored of them after the first few years.

I agree with him, if they had done enough research, they would know that corns live a long time, not just 2 or 3 years like a hamster, if you do not have that kind of commitment, get a rodent! lol

the rspca near me get so many corns that, if you have been a member of the bhs for 6 months, you are able to rehome it. It is much easier, quicker and cheaper to get itn from the rspca. All it needs is a £10 donation and the snake is yours (and there is a £10 joining fee to the club).

I'm with Kriz, their is a rspca/bhs cantre near enough to me so i can temperalley house them when they are full, everything comes in from baby garters to 10ft retiticulated pythons (yeah i know their still small at 10ft). I do what i can though when having 1 in, even if it's only for a week or 2.

Their are 2 many irrisponsable people getting snakes and reptile's, including people who think they stay as small as a long worm.
