interesting animal websites

Hmm, my current favourite is the Monterey Bay aquarium website. I have a thing for sharks :)

Not only do they currently have the only Great White in captivity but they have a webcam so you can watch it. The website in general is great with lots of info, and other webcams as well.

The website is at:-

Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Great White is in the Outer Bay exhibition.

If you're in the US, check out www.enature.com

They have a feature where you can enter your zip code (although you have to give them an email address, I just use a fake one) and it'll show you all the species in your zip code. You can then filter the results to only include certain things (plants or animals, then even as far down as the individual families).

Oooh, heck, and they had to take the soup fin sharks out a couple of weeks back cos she killed two of them - not so good...but I do like to get my fix on the live cam everyday or so, and check for updates. I live just a tad further away, lol, so I don't think I'll be able to go and have a look at her myself.
