Okeetee schmuck
Is this normal?

I've seen so many beautiful snake pics on this web site, weird colors, no colors, reversed colors. But I'm nuts about the one ya'll call a "Okeetee Abbott's". To me it's the most stunning of all the breeds. I've decided it's the one for me. I'd like to know the background of this type, and just who is "Abbott"? Am I abnormal? Or should I just keep discussing this with the voices in my head....... :crazy02: :crazy02: :crazy02:

Abbott's Okeetees are beautiful!! Abbott's Okeetees are a line of Okeetees bred by Lee Abbott. They are bred to enhance their thick black borders and really crisp coloration (hence, Abbott's Okeetees). There are some great pics on Don Soderberg's site: cornsnakes.net but I think he is sold out of them right now. Hope this helps??

Thanks Angelina!

It Depends....

Dennis
It really depends on what you're after...If you want a 'true Abbotts', I have only found a couple of sites that offer them--anyone feel free to jump in if I am wrong--But, if you want an Okeetee with crisp colors and nice black borders, they are fairly common. Here is a pic of one of my males from Michelle Heart www.creaturesofthenight.com Just depends on what you want.

looking at those pictures, i think my female is an okeettee Abbott's. she has black lines around her saddles that are about twice as thick as my male okeettee, and she's got a darker red color. cant wait to see what comes out of the eggs.
