My first snake...about to shed....awwwwwww

took a mouse yesterday while he was like this...at first when i took the cover off his hide i thought he was dead...never saw a snake personally go that pale so i poked him and thank gawd he moved...*phew* when he popped his head up i saw the telltale blue sheen over his eyes. my baby's gunna shed!!!

just thought id offer him his mouse as it was feeding time and he took it no problem and now we just wait. heres a pic of my baby "in the blue"

Congrats on your snake shedding, thats really neat! Thats funny you post that because my albino corn just got done shedding and she is beautiful now. How old is your snake?

beutiful, what is your humidity reading in your tank? my snake is also going to shed any day now. :)
 
hes like 19 months i believe. and my humidity is 63 right now. i put a damp cloth in it soi tlmake his shed easier
 
Legoless is ready to shed as well...these babies be growin' critters!
The first one we experience with them is always a wee bit nerve wracking...just keep the humidity up and be patient...Nature will respond in due course!
 
Thats one great picture of a snake in "blues" it really shows the change in colour and will be a great help to those who are waiting on seeing this phase for the 1st time, as it can be a bit scarey for 1st timers.
 
thanks. im lucky i had a borrowed camera lying around. hes even more gray today. a big change from the vibrant color he was just a few days ago. i can hardly wait for his shed
