I was just cruising over the Serpenco website and happened across the upper keys and clicked on it and was wondering if you had any pictures of the hypo upper keys handy?

I know you probably don't, but I'd be interested to see what those look like.

Actually on my price list, the photo of the baby Upper Keys shows a couple of Hypos in that clutch. Personally, I think they are coming along VERY nicely. They definitely improve with age, if the yearlings and two year olds are any judge. Regardless of whether the Type 'C' Anerythristics prove to be a new gene or not, I plan on breeding the Hypo Upper Keys into them eventually. I think they will produce some outstanding looking animals down the road.

Since all your holdback hypo upper keys have been females, what's the anticipated breeding of those guys? Will the two year olds be ready to go next year, or are you going to wait until 2007 for them?

I know you don't want to think about this, but.......

What in the world are you going to do if this hypomelanism is a new form of hypo?! LoL. Hopefully Murphy won't be that mean to you. The last thing we need is another form of 'hypo', especially after it's almost certain that we've got a new form of 'anery', if you can even call it that.

Now of course, it's a race to see who will produce the first Anery 'C' bloodreds. :)

No, I don't breed two year olds. Maybe at three years, or more likely at four.

I can't remember. Seems to me I bred something that proved that the Hypomelanism was one of the currently identified ones. But I can't recall what pairing that was.

I guess I could put a limit on the number of horses in that race by simply not selling any 'C' Anerythristics for a couple of years, now couldn't I? ;)
