shedding

permethius

greatest golf ball ever
my sister said my hatchling permethius is turning a bluish color so does that mean he is about to shed because i am away at the moment and i dont want to miss his first!

Yes, turning blue is a sign of impending shed. It usually takes about a week (more or less) after turning blue for the snake to shed. I do hope you will be able to see it, but hatchlings shed an average of once a month so there'll be other sheds to watch. For what it's worth, I've never seen any of my corns shed. I've had them since November and December of last year.

Yes, all my snakes hide when they are due to shed. Also, I have one snake that I hardly ever see, even at night. She is just more nervous and shy than my other snakes. Yours may get bolder as it gets more used to its surroundings, or it may be shy for the rest of its life. Not to worry, though, my shy snake is very good about being handled once I've got her out.

but thats the problem i cant get him out of the hide he is in right now

becuase he is in this small crevace in a piece of wood i havent got the chance to handle him since the day i got him about a week ago

is this a problem?
