Long journey..

i live south of work... my work is south of my parents hous 150 miles away...

This weekend i went back home straight from work.. i put the viv in the back seat of the car, put the seat belt round it and drove...
When i got to work i took the viv out and set it up at the back of my edit suite, much to everyones enjoyment.. although when i saw everyon i dont mean the couple of people ho ran screaming..

end of the day i put the viv in the car and drove 150 mile north to my parents same set up for carrying the viv...

i was just wondering how other people transport their snakes..
should i have put him in the smaller plastic tub..? should i have added extra cushioning to try and sofen the ride..?

he seemed fine yesterday when he did the return journey... just a little jumpy.. but he ate ok.. and now he's back home..

Personally I would take the snake out of its viv and put it in a smaller box which has several air holes and has been securely fastened down so it doesn't shake around. Unless the snake regurgitates I don't see any problem with them being transported as this is how they are sent from breeder to client.

your snake may benifit from having a few paper towels in with him to lay against or curl up under, to help cushion against any bumps (that's what most breaders do when they ship hatchlings too I have noticed)
