can't get the right answer from the pet shop.

i got the following pieces of information from the pet shop, and i'm glad i didn't really believe them...

(NOTICE: the following info is WRONG, don't follow it!)
1. if a snake eats something actually too big for it, it will just throw it up. it's ok and won't hurt them. (i was like :puke01: )

2. corns need UVB light. (i actually bought the lamp and everything, then decided to do a bit more research. :sidestep: )

the other pet shop also sold me a timer socket that even they don't know how to use. well i guess if someone is stupid, that's me!

I actually had someone at feeder's supply tell me this about my corn and my ball. I have never read that anywhere.

ok this is going to sound really retarded but I have a UVA/UVB light for my tank since its the perfect size to sit on the screen to my reptitank and I like how the light makes the tank look :)

I know my snake did not need those necessary lighting conditions but the light was a perfect fit.

Some people believe UVA/UVB actually helps improve the color of many herps (has anyone noticed it with corns?). So, whether they require it or not, it's not going to hurt them. :)

I read on here somewhere that the UVB could be harmful.

Interesting. I tried a search but couldn't come up with anything. Would you happen to remember what thread it was from or maybe what key words I should use for a search?

Thanks. :)
