Sorry to hear about your snake. I've had a couple to up and die on me out of the blue, so I know where you're coming from.
However, running out and getting a new snake when you're not for sure what killed the first sounds like a bad idea all around. It could be something contagious, who's to know. And not to be mean, but your first few posts here didn't sound like you were entirely knowledgable about cornsnakes to begin with (despite what you've said). With one now dead in a week's time, and then getting another just doesn't stack up with most of us.
Please get Kathy's book and read it. Never trust petstores. Their only goal is to make money. There are a few and very far between that are decent in some respects. Most of their snake stock, regardless of species, is wholesale that were either poor condition hatchlings or poor feeders to begin with. Buy from someone on here who's reputable and has good quality animals. If you want a good pet snake, buy from a breeder. If you want kingsnake food, buy from a petstore.
But since it looks like you've already gone out to buy another one, I would wash everything the other snake used thoroughly in hot bleach water and rinse well. Throw away wooden items or other items that cannot be sterilized.
Hopefully this one doesn't meet the same fate. Best of luck.

However, noticing that you're in Georgia and last time I checked it was illegal in the state of Georgia to buy or own any cornsnake, I have to wonder about these petstores selling them.
While I personally have no idea why Georgia's law is so strict and don't agree with it, I don't agree with a petstore illegally selling animals their state deems as native, whether they're a snow, amel, or something else you wouldn't find in the wild.
So I would definitely be checking that out ASAP.
