I got some mice with my Miami corn and this one caught my eye. It has a satin, soft hair what looks white at first but shows a peachy shine from the right angle. I've heared of satin mice, but I have no idea about how common they are arond here (or anywehre else). Anyone? (And no, she's not fat, it's just the pose)

:-offtopic Angela, you do knwo you have a rat with a Dutch brid name? Adelaar is the Dutch word for eagle so how did you come up with it?

I got him from a breeder and that particular litter had patriotic names. I decided to keep his name, but I am not sure how she came up with it. I didnt know what it meant until now :)
 
I just pronouce it how it is spelled. Now that I think about it, I probably pronounce it completely wrong lol. :shrugs:
 
Think of banana... first 'a' short like banana, then 'de' approx. how you pronounce 'the', then 'laar'; with a long bananalike a....
a- de -laar
a-the- laar
 
Well, I explained the pronounciation as good as possibele in writing, quite difficult, you should be quite close now!
