age, weight, and poo

My snake is going on 4 month old. He eats every 5 to 7 days. He poops as much as 4 times between feedings - usually 2 or 3 times. And he weighs in at about 15 grams. Normal?

Thanks for any advice :wavey:

Your little guy sounds just like mine. He always poops twice between meals and is just about the same weight and age. He is eating peach fuzzies every 5 days right now.

coolio. I have a couple peach fuzzies in my freezer and I've been debating whether to try them out. Maybe I will.
Do you know if its normal? I'm hoping so. I'll check in with you in a couple months and we'll see how eachother's snakes measure up.

I think what you're calling poop is actually the snake urinating. The yellowish-white colored stuff isn't poop.

I don't know if anything is "normal" with corns, I just know that they can all be different depending on their genetics and how often they are fed. I've only had my little guy since the 1st of the month, so I don't know much of his feeding history except that he's never refused or regurged. I don't know how often he was fed, but I was told when I got him that he was just starting on peach fuzzies, so that's what I've been giving him, but I think he's almost ready to go to regular fuzzies in a few feedings. He is always out cruising around in the evening. He only hides during the day. From what I've learned and read on this forum, its very important to make that jump to fuzzies because they are much higher in fat, calories, calcium.... just overall more nutritious than pinkies. If you don't move up, you can end up with a 2 1/2 foot snake eating 4 pinkies a week that is 2 years old and wondering why it won't grow:rolleyes: , I'm sure you read that thread. I'm sorry I rambled there a bit, I just don't think there is really a set normal with corns. There is probably what you could call a normal range. And your little guy sounds like he's right in there with mine.

Thanks for the responses.

Cav - I don't know. Theres always solids and lots of liquids. Theres blackness and whiteness and wetness all over when he "goes".

Bobo's Mama - Thanks for the input. I'll give him a peach fuzzy and see what he does with it  I just wanted to see if people would respond and say that my snake is a runt. :)

A snake's urine is in solid or mostly solid form. A little brown is normal, both use the same escape hatch after all. ;)

Well, I gave him his first peach fuzzy and he gobbled it down. Looked a little difficult and left a big 'ole lump. But he napped for 48 hours and then he was out and about again. No more lump.
