This is Dominos 3rd regurge. I dont know what Im doing wrong, she is not being handled for 2 days after she eats, I feed a small F/T pinky outside the viv every 6 days. About 1 out of 3 pinkys she will regurge. I did a search for regurge and with all the info that I found it seems like I am doing everything right. I break bones, slice the pinkys back, and it doesent seem to matter. What causes regurges?

a few possibilities...temps could be too warm, too cold, pinky too large (doesnt sound like it), pinky gone bad, domino could have parasites, or he could be sick.

You didn't say how long you wait after she regurges to feed again, but I would wait about ten days after a regurge to allow her stomach to rebalance itself. Beyond that I am not sure I know enough about it to give advice. Good luck though!

I'm sure you've checked your temps and all that. Maybe a Nutri-bac course is in order to stabilize his digestive system. My '05 hatchlings are subject to identical husbandry, my temps are great and consistent, but about half of them have regurged once, and a few have regurged twice, though not consecutively. Most of these were due to feeding/shedding timing issues, but some are mysteries to me. I've had a couple of regurges from my adults, but these were from the first feedings following delivery of two snakes from the same breeder. These adults were fed f/t rats before I got them, and I use f/t mice, so the prey switch and the FedEx trip might have conspired to cause the regurges. I'm probably going to order some Nutri-bac as a preventive measure. Kathy Love sells it on her Cornutopia site.

One regurge every three feedings sounds pretty serious. You may want to take a fecal sample to a vet for analysis. Good luck; I hope Domino's ok.

I second this. My husband and I weren't lucky and we had only one regurge before she passed. Just think, its much cheaper taking her to the vet now and getting everything checked.

I wish you and Domino the best

I third that motion. My guy did the same thing, except every fourth one he would regurge, and I'd always think he was getting stronger. The first time it happened, I thought, oh it's a fluke. The second I thought, well, those pinkies were sitting in the fridge a month, maybe they went bad. The third time I made the vet appointment and he didn't make it till then. Has she gotten noticably frial? Or lost weight? If those are both yes answers, then it's even more important that you take her to a vet. My vet approximated the tests would cost about $100 (includes sitting fee), I don't know what anyone else knows about pricing, but that might give you a ball-park figure, if cost is a concern.
