Looks good! Is that Aspen bedding you are using, or something else? Pippin, my new ghost, would like the set up I think! :)

What a lovely showpiece! Is that the new viv I've seen pictured in the back of Reptiles Magazine?

Chris =)

Yes, that's aspen. It's an Exo-Terra reptile habitat, with the foam back removed. we added a small hide and a small den, along with a water dish and the jungle vine 'tree'

I searched your posts. but I could not find what size snake/age you have. If it's a baby (less than 1'), the water dish looks a little tall. It looks like you are using maybe a ramekin (for salsa or dip), which is fine, but sometimes babies have a hard time finding the water. Additionally, they can be clumsy (they are still learning how to move), so you would not want it to get stuck in the water dish. You may want to change it out; I use lower profile dishes for babies. Instead of changing it, you could sink it into the aspen, so it is only about 1/2" high. If your snake is any larger than 1', I would probably get a larger dish, so it can soak in it if it wants to. Hope this helps.

Oh no. It's a "dip dish" if you wish to call it that. We have sunk it in. I love the set up. Its the maintaing the heat we are fiddling with know. But we've solved it. The water dish only sticks up a little over as 1/2" in the viv. heck, even the light above the viv my mice are thriving. :p

We don't yet have a snake, we're getting the viv setup perfectly first, then getting one in december
