It probably would not be the best option for a corn snake viv. I use a similar waterfall (maybe a zoomed) in my amazon tree boa's viv, in order to keep the humidity extremely high (~90%). The waterfall in conjunction with live plants makes a nice 'rainforest-like' environment that keeps my atb healthy (it has not done anything about his attitude though :angry01: ). The substrate in his viv is peat on the bottom layer, with coconut husks on top. This helps to absorb all of the moisture that the waterfall puts into the air, without molding---the glass is continuously fogged up during the day. I just think the humidity levels in a corn snake's viv would be too high (if that's possible), and the environment would be more prone to mold if you were using aspen. I would not recommend any bark-type substrate in a corn's viv (it works for my atb because he spends no time on the floor. Hope this helps.
