Shipping plans for December

Please note that I normally suspend shipping around the Christmas holiday. This year my last shipping date will be Wednesday, December 7th. Shipping will then be resumed on January 3rd.

The reason for this is that shipping this time of year becomes problematical, especially when live animals are concerned in the dead of Winter. All shippers hire on temporary help, which means we have people on the lines whose only job is to get those packages moved as quickly as possible, with no concern whatsoever (in my opinion) for what the contents may be. That means very rough handling is likely. Still, even so, there may be delays. When the temps may be touching down below freezing in some parts of the country, you don't want a box of live animals being delayed in transit.

So with the above in mind, I simply shut down shipping until the storm passes. Please bear this in mind if you have an idea of getting someone a corn snake for a Christmas present. Having it delivered a day or two right before Christmas may sound good on paper, but it does have some problems associated with it. Yeah, I know some people may ship anyway, but I don't.

Thanks.
