Colours... do they matter?

RyanR

Canadian Boa Fanatic.
my snakes will eat coloured mice and white mice... is there health bennifits to either?

There is no nutritional difference between the two, however some snakes do have a preference for a certain color :shrugs:

got that right

I have several that will only eat white. They will not eat brown, grey or black.
Never had the oportunity to try multi colored though.

As a person who has had rodents as pets.. white mice and colored are the EXACT same mouse. can even be fromt he same litter :)

I had a snake that wouldn't eat brown mice, would hesitate at spoted mice but totally scarfed the white ones. It's just a prefrence I think not a need :D
