Hey guys, do any of you use UTH's for your sterilites and plastic tubs and things like that? Cuz I was thinking that might not be the best thing since it's plastic...but I was still wondering. I am looking into getting a larger snake, and I want to be able to provide a large home for it, but seeing as the budget to actually buy the snake is pushing it a lil for a 14 year old with no resource for money except for doing dishes, I won't be able to get a glass viv.
Would a heat lamp be sufficient? I provide both an UTH and a lamp for Majik and Dante' now, so I was just wondering. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I would say to wait on the large snake since you already say you don't have the resources.

And yes you can use a uth with a sterolite.
 
I'm just saying that, I CAN handle it, but I'm sure everyone here remembers what it's like to be 14, when you've got absolutely no way of making legitimate money on a regular big scale basis. I can borrow the money from my parents for anything I need for my snakes, I just can't pull it out of my pocket right away and hand it to whoever I'm paying. It takes a long while to pay back, but I'm willing to do it.

And it's not a "larger" snake persay, it just requires a little more room than corns do. It's a bp in case you were wondering. Anyways, thanks for the info!
 
I wouldn't get a BP right now if I were you. in 4 or 5 years you will probably be going to college or moving out of your parents house. I know most parent's don't care to look after pets left behind & you can't have snakes in the dorms.

I would say be happy with the two corns you have for a while before moving up to a bigger snake. & Yes they are bigger & have different demands.

It's easy to be caught up in the moment but these are animals we are talking about, & not something to purchase rashly.
